Women Rising: Leading the Change in Their Communities
In the Eastern Province, Amina Nyiramahirwe, a local entrepreneur, credits her success to YWEN’s women’s rights training and entrepreneurship programs. Before joining YWEN, Amina struggled to grow her business. However, after completing a series of training sessions on financial literacy, business development, and gender equality, Amina was able to turn her small business into a sustainable, profitable venture.
“YWEN gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to take my business to the next level,” says Amina. “But it didn’t stop there. I now use my success to mentor other women in my community, showing them that they too can become financially independent and make their voices heard.”
Amina’s journey is just one of many examples of how YWEN is helping women not only improve their economic standing but also take on leadership roles. By providing access to entrepreneurship training and leadership development, YWEN is fostering a generation of women who are rising to lead and drive change in their communities.
